Deribit Binance Bybit OKX Derive Aevo Bullish
Deribit is the dominant Bitcoin options venue, holding roughly 85% of global open interest — if you've heard of crypto options, you've heard of Deribit. It lists both an inverse BTC chain (settled in Bitcoin) and a linear BTC/USDC chain. Bullish has quietly become the second-largest venue by open interest, while Binance brings the volume of the world's largest exchange. Bybit, OKX, and the on-chain CLOBs Derive and Aevo round out the coverage with USDC-settled BTC options (OKX also offers an inverse BTC-USD chain).
Bitcoin options come in two flavours. Inverse (coin-margined) options on Deribit and OKX are priced and settled in Bitcoin itself, so premiums appear as small BTC fractions (e.g. 0.015 BTC) and your payout grows with the coin price — a convex USD return preferred by traders who hold BTC natively. Linear options on Binance, Bybit, Derive, Aevo and Bullish are priced and settled in USDC, quoted in plain dollars. option.watch always shows the native price currency on the chart's Y-axis and labels the unit, so you never mistake a BTC-fraction premium for a dollar figure.
Switch to the IV view to see the live Bitcoin volatility smile across strikes, and use the proprietary Middle Line for a reliable price reference even at thin, far-out-of-the-money strikes where the raw bid/ask is wide or empty. This generalizes mid-prices from a single order book to the entire chain — valuable for market makers, researchers and anyone studying BTC options structure.
